Bpo Elks #552 - Sault Ste. Marie

After experiencing great fish in Hawaii, Miami, North Carolina, and San Francisco, I can confidently add Sault Ste. Marie's Elks Club (552) to my list of top places for fish. The staff is genuinely committed to the club, and yes, it is open to the public for dinner. The service is excellent, and the friendly atmosphere is enhanced by familiar faces that give it the charm of a small town in the best possible ways. With cold beer at the bar, delicious walleye, great fries, and above-average frying, sharing a meal here is a delight. Though they weren't our server, everyone was attentive and genuinely cared for our experience as customers, which is a rare and wonderful touch! Parking is easy, and the view of the waterway is stunning. The bar has an old-school vibe that truly adds to the experience. They even offer boat shots! You don’t have to be a member of the Elks to enjoy the club, but it might be worth considering. Overall, make sure to check out the Elks Club when it’s open to the public and relish the experience!

We attended a wedding here and had a wonderful experience. The venue is very welcoming and the staff is incredibly friendly.

The turnout was fantastic, with a large crowd coming out for the polar bear plunge.
