Fluid Boardwalk Patio And Grill

First the great: We stayed here for two nights, and were blown away by front desk service we received from Tyler. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very, very helpful. Thank you, Tyler! We also received exceptional service from our Saturday morning server, Charleine. We ordered off the menu (instead of the buffet). She was thoughtful, cheery, and attentive without being intrusive. Just the traits I truly appreciate in a server. The food itself from breakfast menu was delicious and the servings were ample. Coffee was delicious and I appreciated that they left the pot on the table for me. Pizza we ordered from room service was also tasty. The hotel in general has a swanky feel, and that's not a bad thing. Our room was lovely; very roomy and clean, and our mattress and pillows were SO comfortable! The room itself was very quiet, even though we were near the elevators and ice machine. Now the not so great: The A/C in the room runs very, VERY loud. If you can't handle that when you sleep, then this is not the place for you. Rob was our server on Sunday morning. I'd like to say that we received the same great service, but we did not. He was not at all attentive; he seemed like he didn't want to be there. It took three requests for me to just get a glass of water. We ordered a pizza from room service. They brought up a pizza in a box, but that was it. There were no plates, silverware, or napkins. Seems a little ridiculous for room service.

Big hotel, mainly focused on business travellers. Nicely located on the waterfront near the USA border. Our room was ok. Not big, but sufficiënt. It looked clean although it had a little mold smell. In the room and in the corridor. Outlets were unsufficient and unconveniently located for the 2.0 traveller who wants to stay connected. Whe had drinks on the patio (see my review of fluid) and food in the bar area. Food was fine, a bit pricy like the drinks and the service failed. Cold, slow and they over charged us on the beer. The half beer brought in from their own patio was billed again inside.

Amazing hotel. Great location, great and helpful staff! So friendly and helpful, greeted with a smile by everyone at the desk. Just loved our stay. We had a water view room on the 5th floor and it was amazing, right on the water. Pool and exercise facility is top notch. Entire place was spotless. Would stay there again anytime! Just don't eat at their restaurant, the View.

Possible the best hotel in the Soo. The hotel is clean and modern with all the amenities you need. Most of the rooms have been updated with new beds so a good night's sleep is there for you. Some rooms have a water view and if there is no fog you can see the large ships navigating the waterways. The location is fabulous, right in the downtown, walking distance to restaurants, the Station Mall and the Essar Centre. Staff are friendly and helpful, and if you don't want to venture out, the restaurant is actually pretty good. I will definitely stay here again!
