Located halfway along the Trans Canada Highway, this restaurant serves some of the best fish dinners we've ever had. The breakfast options are also top-notch.
The dining experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered the meat and mac n cheese, but the meat was just average and the watery gravy was unappetizing. The mac n cheese was strange, with molten grated cheese as the only sauce. The garlic bread was also poorly made, with just a thin layer of garlic margarine on a hamburger bun. The breakfast my partner ordered was also underwhelming, with half-hearted attempts at bacon and sausages. Overall, it was a letdown and I will be bringing my own lunch in the future. The staff were friendly, despite the lackluster meal we were served.
We have been on this car track for years and always seemed to go from point a to point b. this day we stopped at this place and wow was eating and service great. the owner and the chef sat over the room and we have been through almost the whole meal. tried the place twice in months and it will be a regular stop place from now on. Oh, if you drive a little over the road, you'll see a beautiful waterfall. great picture.
Karen and I were so happy to enjoy the experience. What amiable people they both are! Showing us on the camera the bear, supposably hiding behind a small propane tank and explaining the bear's peek-a-boo game behind a small tree The gentleman is an avid...and excellent baker, quite evident , as his toasted, homemade bread complimented the delicious bacon, eggs, and tomato, generous breakfast. Our thanks to the lady, it was good!!!! Next time I go west, from Sudbury, I'm not having lunch in the Sault !
