Although the pizza is just average and the menu isn't extensive, you can't go wrong with the affordable prices and quick service.
Went to Konoba tonight with my wife before the concert we were going to. This place was perfect for our dinner and concert date night. From the time we walked in Saša made us feel welcome, like he was inviting us into his home. The date night special was killer, we got a small charcuterie board, a salad, four tapas, and a dessert charcuterie board for $40 and all the food was awesome, he should bottle his vinaigrette and sell it, its so good. My wife also had a Lemon Drop Martini and said it was fantastic. We went early (around 5:30) because we had plans later on in the evening and we were one of two couples there, but I've got a pretty good feeling that even if the place was packed Saša still would have made us feel like we were the only people in there. We will definitely be back, if not for a date-night, for drinks and snacks after a concert or movie. Do yourself a favour and try this place out.
Stopped by following a recommendation and it is different than anything else in town. Nicely renovated, quiet, friendly atmosphere and a chance to try and experience a taste of the Mediterranean. A good selection of tapas small plates. The meat sampler plate (charcuterie?) is a good start, then added four small plates, and capped off with dessert crepes. Good meal and surprisingly filling.
This is now on our "must visit" list when we are visiting the Soo from Toronto. Everything we ordered was fantastic: the grilled calamari, the charcuterie platter, the sardella, the scampi, the lemony vinaigrette on the salad..this is cooking at a very high level. Personable, careful service. Also very reasonably priced.
