Superior Home Bakery - Sault Ste. Marie

Whatever the baking you need this is the place. Great pastries and donuts. Also great deli that makes custom sandwiches.

My wife and I were passing through Sault Ste Marie and we went by this bakery that claimed they had the "best fritters in Canada". I was dubious, but then I've never had a fritter in Canada... I looked in the case and thought they were small enough to order two. I should've looked closer, they're HUGE. Huge and delicious. Crunchy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. I also had a large maple frosted donut. They were indeed the best fritters I've had in Canada.

Located adjacent to Walmart on the outskirts of town they have a large off-street parking lot. It is a combined bakery and deli.I requested cinnamon buns, but when trying them they turned out to be deep fried dough glazed with cinnamon flavouring. Rather disgusting. Went in at Noon and they had a poor selection of breads and rolls. Bought some rolls and while fresh, the taste and texture wasn't the best.Also had a large deli, but didn't check it out.Rather disappointed, as our grocery store in-store bakeries produce better products than this place.

This bakery has been in my life since as far back as I can remember. It's a major aspect of this city. The baking whether it's bread or baked good are amazing. Homemade pasta and donuts are also a must buy! Looking for Italian baking?? This place is one of many in the Sault that are delicious and authentic.

They had a problem with thur dried sausage, they had to take it off the shelf. This place is going down hill in a rapid pace, baking not the same as the old owners and price hikes, seems its profit driven more the quality of thur backed goods.I wont be back again.....
