Spending the night in Savanna and one of our group wanted a good steak, I found Circa 1888 on line, booked our reservation on line also. Our group tried everything frrom the steaks, to the balsamic pork and panini's. Everything was spot on even the delishes salads and house made dressings. To of us walked out the door with chocolate cake and the mousse! It was all delishes. Our service was impeccable, food wait time was crazy fast. I am visiting from the Chicago area and wanted to eat at a non-bar restaurant. My husband enjoyed his flavorful steak, but unfortunately, my pork was overcooked and terrible. The figs were burnt to a crisp. The appetizers were decent. The noise from a barking dog, passing trains, and roaming cats outside made the experience less enjoyable. If we were to return, this would not be our first choice.

Recently, I visited a restaurant with a friend who has dietary restrictions. We were pleased to find that they had vegan options on their menu. However, when we arrived, we were informed that we would have to wait an hour for our food. After attempting to find another place to eat in town without success, we decided to return to the restaurant. It appeared that they only had one server, one cook, and one busboy for the entire establishment. Despite being told we would have to wait another 30 minutes for our food, we eventually received our meal, which was delicious. I am deducting one star because they were out of many items on the menu. Our server, David, was working diligently to keep up with the demand. The beer was reasonably priced at $4 and very enjoyable.
