Indian Cottage - SAWTELL

Indian Cottage is one of my favorite take-out spots in the area. The food is consistently of high quality. Just writing this review is making me crave it!

I had a fantastic takeaway experience from this restaurant. We had specific dietary needs, and the chef personally came out to assist us with our order, which was incredibly helpful. He even prepared a custom curry to accommodate our food allergies. The onion bhaji appetizers were delightful, and the curries had just the right amount of spice. I highly recommend this place!

The staff is incredibly kind and efficient, and the food is delicious with generous portion sizes that are well worth the price. I absolutely love dining here!

Visit them sawtell for a few days. after a lunch break from showers and thunderstorms we had made the walk to the Indian hut for dinner from our arrival. we were looking for Indian food. the food was average. when the food was delivered, the food flooded, as it was full to the edge. a lower plate would have stopped the food from overflowing on the table. the corma lamb was beautiful, but the vindaloo was disappointing. drink service was not available. we would have spent more if we could have a drink. while we observed in the restaurant that they no longer eat, just tear out because of bad weather. the weather had extinguished 2 hours earlier. without signs of bad weather. Overall we saw at least 10 people in 15 minutes to eat away and said to take away only. there were only us two and another couple in the restaurant. people who arrived were not happy because there was not even 7 clock and were turned away. this should not be referred to as restaurant. it is a take away shop. not good business to turn away so many people who would probably have spent good money for eating and drinks. I am sure that other restaurants in sawtell would welcome their business.
