The Carlton Arms - Saxmundham

We had a lovely time at Karton Melres. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing and quiet, just what we were looking for. The children had plenty of space to walk around and play with their toys. We enjoyed the pool and the arcade, although we didn't have a chance to book the Segway tour which looked really cool. The lakes were beautiful, although we didn't have much luck fishing. The caravan was clean and had everything we needed, we will definitely return. The only downside was the uncomfortable double mattress, which left us feeling sore in the morning. We had to improvise by using sofa cushions to make a makeshift bed. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

This caravan holiday park is really nice, well designed, and clean looking. The caravans are fabulous and the surrounding land has some nice walks. It is located in a remote area so a car is needed, but I believe most holiday parks in this area are similar. The caravan was warm, even in late October, and had everything we needed with a good layout. The small cleaning package provided was a nice touch. We did not use the bar, restaurant, or clubhouse so cannot comment on those facilities. I would give it 5 stars, but our caravan needed some maintenance work on the outside steps that was not addressed during our stay. The reception team was a bit disorganized in their approach to customer service.
