Monchi’sset the ton for our entire trip. we noshed on el ivans tacos and enjoyed 4 different types of...fresh salsas, and tried so many margaritas. monchi actually uses fresh fruits and does not rely on raw sugar. I had no frozen margarita in years because I am so picky about the texture and I hate excessive sugar drinks, but I saw the most beautiful mango margarita coming out and could not resist. that was the best frozen margarita I ever had. in the run of a week we have almost always tried margarita on the menu, all are victorious. monchis is simply amazing, but what really differentiates this place is the service that owners and their personal really protrude. they are so good nature, friendly, happy and real. we really felt like they were friends at the end of the trip. many thanks, really. and a great scream to our new friend hiram rodriguez, for all his great suggestions! see him in the reggae club next door, bar don patos.
A host guy from Winnipeg, Canada waved us in. We went in Monchis after dinner, so we told him we were going to have just drinks. Service wasn't bad at all, but when we got a check, it had 15% service charge on it. This...was our 4th night in Sayulita and the very first experience ever got charged any kind of service charge. Don't know if that because we didn't eat, or our check wasn't big enough? I just want to warn people to look at your check at Monchis before you open up wallets!
We’ve walked past this little place on every trip down here, and finally went in to give it a try. Sure glad we did! I had a couple great drinks, and the orange chipotle shrimp...and the guacamole was really good too. Hubby had the sea...bass burrito and said it was very good. The guava habenero margarita was delicious and spicy!! Would definitely visit again when we come back to Sayulita.
Staff is fantastic! Very friendly and attentive. Great selection of traditional Mexican food and a separate menu for burgers and sandwiches. Lots of vegetarian options on both menus. We try guacamole everywhere we go in Sayulita, this is probably our favorite.
We were enticed in with promises of delicious food, strong magaritas, and NFL football. They delivered all three. The cucumber margaritas were delicious and very strong. The mole enchiladas were perhaps the best mole I have ever had. The shrimp and avocado salad was also...fantastic. Great beer selection, great people watching, and a friendly helpful staff to boot. We'll be back.
