Sadly, after several underwhelming experiences, I don 't think I will return after today. The service was terrible, the food was just ok, and the portions have gotten smaller. In a town surrounded by great restaurants, this one is no longer one of them.
Came here for a private party and everything was great. The food, drinks and service were fantastic. What a cute restaurant in the middle of town. Highly suggest and will be back!
When I lived in the area this was my go to spot! They have great reliable food, a beautiful, romantic and clean atmosphere and they serve great portions. I always love their cesar salad with grilled chicken, the bruschetta is incredible and they always have great menus and fun drinks throughout different seasons. They make an amazing pina colada too! Miss living nearby and cant wait to go back soon. Perfect for date night, family dinners, special occasions!
I 've visited Café Joelle on and off over the past 20+ years, and my experiences have been quite inconsistent. While the food quality varies, the issue that stands out most is the treatment I 've received. On one occasion, I tried to make reservations, only to be told, We don 't take reservations. Yet, when I arrived, they asked if I had a reservation, which was a bit confusing. Another time, I put my name on the waitlist for a table and waited right in front of the restaurant. I even checked in multiple times, but when I went inside for the last time, I was told they gave my table away because they couldn 't find me outside, despite me never leaving the front of the building....... blah blah blah yada yada yada each time there was an issue. These experiences have left me feeling unwelcome, and by the time I do sit down, the frustration overshadows any enjoyment of the food. Sadly, my visits have been marked by a sense of aggravation. So, when friends suggest dining here, I tend to decline. It 's a shame that the service issues have overshadowed the potential of the food at Café Joelle. Keeping this review at a three star because I do know people that love this place, so I give them the benefit of the doubt.
Great place to eat, drink and enjoy yourself with friends. Drinks are generous and food is plenty. You can take home or wolf it down and roll out. Whatever works best for you. My husband LOVED the Penne ala Vodka. Said it was out of this world. The servers were spot on with attention and very pleasant. Will definitely go back again. Parking: Public parking in back.
