China Cottage - Scarborough

Went for a lunch with my wife during the week, the place was busy.We ordered 2 dishes, for me Beef with black bean sauce that was great & with good amount of food... pass my test & for my wife Singapore noodles with chicken...Asked the waiter twice, can we get the noodles dish mild & not too hot, he said no problem... but the dish was too hot for my wife taste & she ate but didn't enjoy it. also the chicken in this dish was too plastic texture, so she put aside all the chicken.To get rid of all the spicy tongue, we ordered fried banana with ice cream, it was amazingly tasty & worth this visit, just didn't liked the idea to charge extra $1 for the second ice cream ball as we asked for, especially the fact he knew they missed it out with my wife dish :(

Nice, clean and ample parking. Good food, best chicken 88 I ever ate. Reasonable rates. Chicken Basil is also good with curry. chilli chicken is very taste and you can have is either very hot, mild or regular.corn soup is yummy! I like it.Service is good, friendly and quick.Best place to take family for lunch or dinner.I will recommend that restaurant.

This restaurant is at Steeles avenue near Walmart supercenter. The ambience was very good and the menu had a good lot of options. The soup and fish pakora that we had tasted good. There was this Mumbai noodles which seemed to be have raw masala smell. Fried rice was okay in taste. The service was good.

The food and service are generally OK; however, the servers always interrupt your meal as they seem very eager to clear the table while people are still well engaged in their meal. Also, the quality and quantity of the food is inconsistent approx. 50% of the time. This said however, China Cottage is still better than Federick Restaurant on New Delhi Dr, Markham. Suggestion to China Cottage: Please switch up some items on your menu and also add some variety to the type of soup that accompanies the lunch specials.

We went to China Cottage as a family of 5 + a baby. They were very accommodating for the baby - providing a high chair. The servers were attentive and very interactive. They were helpful with the menu, and once the food was ordered it came out very quickly. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their food. There is a ton of variety on the menu and the lunch menu is very low cost for a mountain of food!This is my favourite hakka restaurant in Markham!Great for spice lovers!
