This is a lovely cafe where you can enjoy delicious drinks and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. However, it's important to support the hard-working owners by purchasing something instead of just occupying a seat for free. It's an excellent spot for socializing or working on a project. The environment is very welcoming for families, making it a great place for everyone to enjoy.
I entered feeling optimistic about spending on drinks and food, but when I requested a glass of tap water, I was outright denied. I have never encountered this in any restaurant, especially after purchasing multiple items. This has certainly never happened to me at any other Coffee Culture location. Additionally, when I asked for butter on the side for my muffin, I was again told that this restaurant operates differently and that I shouldn't expect such service. The situation quickly escalated as she began to gaslight me, claiming we were being rude when we were merely asking reasonable questions in a polite manner. Throughout our visit, we felt very uncomfortable, so we hastily finished our food and left. I also noticed the woman sitting with a male coworker in an area where customers typically sit, staring at patrons, which added to the uncomfortable atmosphere. This kind of behavior is unusual and disappointing compared to my previous experiences.
This used to be one of my favorite coffee shops, but the service and ambiance have declined significantly. The owners, an elderly couple, seem indifferent and are often quite rude. The food is overpriced and not worth it given the quality. Additionally, there are only a few seats with wall chargers, which seems intentional as they likely don't want customers working on laptops. I recommend skipping this place and going to the Starbucks at Midland and Ellesmere instead.
This was the worst café experience I've ever had. My partner and I walked in, feeling very tired, and noticed the cashier—who claimed to be the owner—was busy taking an order. We intended to drop our bags off before lining up, but she rudely and aggressively insisted that we order and pay before sitting down. While there was a sign on the door about this policy, as a weary professional, I felt it would be reasonable to at least glance at the menu while seated, especially since there were plenty of empty tables available. I didn’t even have a chance to sit down before she created an issue. There's no need to be so unpleasant while running a café.
