I decided to visit on a leisurely Sunday afternoon to see how it was now under its current name, Karla. I was pleasantly surprised to find that very little had changed, only some cosmetic updates. The restaurant still has one of the best terraces in Scarborough. And to my delight, I encountered a server who has been serving the neighborhood for 30 years and still excels at her job. Yes, Bonnie is still around, and she has honed her customer service skills to perfection over the years. I enjoyed a delicious meal, some natural drinks, and a lovely conversation with Bonnie, reminiscing about the good old days.
My family ordered from this restaurant and it was a complete disappointment. The steak hoagie was served on plain white bread and the fries were soggy. The Greek salad had mysterious blobs in it and the lettuce was wilted. The wings were undercooked and the Sloviki chicken was tough. We will not be ordering from here again.
The staff at this restaurant are very friendly, especially our server Maid Michelle. We ordered the wings and nachos, both of which were delicious. I would highly recommend dining here for a great meal and a wonderful evening. Thanks to the staff for their warm welcome.
What a relaxed black ambience. The service is excellent and they have specials every day of the week. The wings were great, so was the cheese omelet. You also have an excellent spaghetti and meatball speacial on Thursday. Prices are very good.
Very noisy the night I went. Had difficulty conversing with my dinner mate. Food was okay. Hurried, ate and got out of there. Seems like a fun place to go with friends; a rowdy place.
