I would have left if it wasn't for the arrangement I already had with a colleague to come here for dim sum. I have not been to this location in over 30 years (might have gone by a different business name then can't recall now), I don't think I will come here again.Food was alright. The plain rice noodles was lovely. On the upside I found a shop that sells frozen dim sum right behind this plaza.Next time I'll just get those and cook them at home and skip the restaurant altogether.
While the dim sum was good, the wait was crazy! I think it took about an hour and a half to be seated on a Monday. Fairly fast turn around time from when we made our order to the dishes coming out. They forgot one thing we ordered though.
Today, I went there for the second time in three days. This time for dim sum. The sim sum was so good. If you like pork liver, you must try it here. I ordered the steamed pork liver rice roll. It was outstanding, much better than the restaurants in Vancouver. The sticky rice dumplings, deep fried sesame balls with egg yolks, sui ma, all are so good.My last visit of Toronto was 10 years ago. Today, my relative picked us up and went straight to this restaurant for dinner. The roasted suckling pig was almost perfect. The skin was very crispy. The other dishes were very good too. You could not have this kind of high standard Cantonese food for that kind of price in Edmonton. For all the dishes you saw, including a vegetable soup, which I forgot to take a picture, I paid only $118 plus tax and tips. Excellent first meal in Toronto. More to come in these coming few days.We came back to this restaurant when we visted Toronto again this time, after five months. We ordered the same dinner combo again. This time the roasted suckling pig was even better than last time. So......good.
We order the 6 people combo. Taste is better than on par/ best. The waitress serves us so much for 6 people. The 5 lbs lobster fried with garlic sauce tastes great! If you like HK style chinese environment you will like this place. However it is missing the typical chinesr music.
The place is very nice big. Service was ok! Some waitress was nice, but there was one waiter seem un patinece. The food was good except a little bit salty. We had double lobsters it was delicious. But the baby abalone chicken pot would be so yummy if it wasn't too salty. So far, everything we ordered, they were delicious....
