This is a fantastic spot for Indian takeout, especially if you're looking for vegetarian options. The restaurant can get quite busy, but the prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. While the selection of dry Indian snacks is somewhat limited, they offer a nice variety of condiments and pickles—although I haven't tried the pickles myself. I usually come here for Indian rotis and chapatis. I wasn't a fan of their bulk chevdo, but I found their daal with peanuts to be quite good. Although I haven't sampled everything on the menu, I have friends who frequently order from here and rave about it. If you're planning to get takeout, be sure to call ahead at least four hours in advance; otherwise, there's no guarantee that anything will be available if you just walk in. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

Very disappointing experience. The girl who answered the phone on Friday around 12:36 PM was extremely rude. I called ahead to order some samosas, but she informed me that they were sold out. When I inquired about kachoris, she again told me they were sold out. I then asked if there was anything else available to purchase, and she curtly replied that there was nothing left before abruptly hanging up on me. Her tone was quite unwelcoming, as if she was doing me a favor by answering. This was my first visit, encouraged by a good friend who praised their food. I have no doubt the food is good, but if the staff can't communicate politely over the phone, I don't want to try their food made with such a negative attitude. Food should be prepared with love and joy.

The person who answers the phone and takes orders could be a bit friendlier and should have a better understanding of customer service and appreciation. We are paying for their service with our hard-earned money; they're not doing us a favor.

The Indian dishes are exceptional and are cooked fresh in a home-style, East African way. Thank you for all the wonderful dishes and great service, Shukhar!

This place is Toronto's best-kept secret! The food and snacks are fantastic. It's advisable to go early or call ahead to reserve your favorites before they're gone. We even have some of their dishes shipped all the way to Edmonton and Montreal!
