North Beach Cafe Whitby - Scarborough

We took a break from our beach walk to grab a snack and coffee at this restaurant. Both were delicious, and we will definitely be returning. The coffee was of a high standard. We enjoyed a fruit scone and a toasted tea cake.

We visited this restaurant for a late breakfast based on the suggestion of our Guest House hosts and we were not disappointed. The location was great, the owner was pleasant and we had a lovely chat with them. The bacon rolls were some of the best we have ever had, they were delicious and kept us satisfied for the rest of the day.

Very friendly, efficient staff. It’s a great cafe . Just what we needed during our days on the beach. Thanks to you all.

The café "Hatch" is located up a narrow slope, making it difficult for customers to queue and leave after making a purchase. The hatch itself is small, and the nearby kiosk was closed, despite it being a nice day. I wanted to buy something but ultimately did not, causing the café to lose potential business.

A shame really but shambolic service, waited 45mins for a simple toasted tea cake. Understand restrictions in place but no organisation in place
