We were thrilled that we managed to find seats in the cozy dining area. The service was outstanding, with a real old-school level of care. The server even went the extra mile to cool down the plates for our kids so they wouldn't burn themselves! We were truly impressed by the polite and attentive service. The food was delicious and offered great value for money. We were especially happy with the four chip butties we ordered for just £16! We left the restaurant delighted and will definitely be returning in the future.
The fish and chips were absolutely delicious, and even the curry sauce and mushy peas were amazing! The service provided by the lovely ladies was top notch, always with a smile.
We recently tried the fish and chips at The Magpie in Whitby, and it was one of the best we've ever tasted. However, it seems like either there is new management or their quality has significantly declined. We suggest heading over to Scarborough to experience what truly great fish and chips should taste like. Highly recommended.
A fabulous traditional fish chip shop with a little cafe attached. Fish Chips can be served over the counter or in the little cafe 4 tables of 4). No reservations. They do have other options on the menu . The best fish and chips I’ve had for ages . The batter on the fish was so perfect and light I had to eat it all . Proper home steeped Yorkshire mushy peas which were perfect as were the chips . The place itself is immaculately clean. Lovely ladies that run it . A real treat ! Thank you ladies.
A warm welcome from the friendly, experienced staff. Bought haddock and chips for a fish supper to accompany the T20 Cricket Match. High quality fish, distinct white flakes, beautifully cooked, accompanied by excellent substantial chips. A brilliant meal to accompany an excellent England victory.
