China Star - Schenectady

I've been ordering from China Star for many years, across two different ownerships, and they continue to be the best Chinese takeout in Schenectady. I've also worked there intermittently for a couple of years, and I can confidently say that the owners are among the most genuine business people you'll find. Simon, in particular, is a true gem. Having witnessed their operations firsthand, I can assure you that they function as a cohesive team and genuinely take even their most critical feedback to heart. Their General Tso tofu is, without a doubt, the best in town.

China Star has become my favorite Chinese restaurant, and I find myself dining there almost every week. The food is always hot and fresh, bursting with flavor. It truly tastes like it’s made from scratch, rather than from frozen ingredients. Plus, the prices are quite reasonable.
