Very sad : You look forward to a beautiful Valentine's Day dinner in a beautiful atmosphere and get in response to the phone requirement that the restaurant is closed due to a house event (no information on the Internet because I called 30 minutes before our arrival. OK can happen, but the associated Spreewald brewery also closed because of a kitchen party (O operating noise) I already find negative. But good for us: We had an excellent meal in Schlepzig

The brewery in Schlepzig is recommended. Food was abundant. In the garden behind the house you sit nicely on green meadow between water and house. Unfortunately, the service is not really on zack!

Conclusion 3/5 stars coffee drinks and cakes are highly recommended. The food looked good visually (we did not eat anything warm there). The quality can be extended in particular with regard to the price. 8 coffee drinks and 4 pieces of cake (good size will cost 40 € anyway. In terms of price-performance ratio, you can expect more in quality and taste. Moderate prices or better quality, or taste would do well for the restaurant and improve the review again. Apparently you only pay for the ambience. Ambience/room 1/1 stars Beautiful ambience directly on small water and in bad weather also possible inside. Everything quite modern, but nevertheless rustic charming. Service 0.5/1 star The service was initially very unfriendly and immediately took away the cutlery and only said: Not now, I have to worry about order here and disappeared. two minutes later she came back and accepted the order. She generally seemed to be a rustic guy. The drinks and the cakes came very fast. Taste/Quality 1,5/3 stars The coffee drinks were all so good. Not bitter and yet with taste. The cakes were obviously all made by themselves, or by a confectionery and not by the bar. I cost the whole way, but nothing was extraordinary. All right. The price-performance ratio is not right here and pulls the whole thing down by one point.

Unfortunately you are not visited or served in this restaurant. The operators are so arrogant that you ask what this is about. If you're talking directly to a waitress, it's not now. We have just after a longer waiting period... Oh yes, to say positively that even a part of the ketchup costs 1€ extra... Conclusion: Beautiful location, unfortunately due to the unavailable service, but NO recommendation. The staff seems to come mainly from Eastern Europe and to speak English only to a limited extent.

Great place to stay especially on a day like today. Indian Summer in the Spreewald. Perfect for an outing with the bike or return swing by boat on the in-house ridge. Inside rustic brewhouse, idyllicly located outside the Spreekanal.
