I thought it was left from the day before.
After a wonderful but exhausting summer hike around the national park we were looking forward to taking a bit to the seaside. our stomachs have eaten a composition of fresh garden vegetables, accompanied by a lean chicken breast to reach our sporty lifestyle. it is an established fact that the Germans are famous worldwide for their fantastic technical skills and very respected for the construction of top-notch cars from thousands of tiny components. but when it comes to making a tasty salad consisting of more than three ingredients (no, kartoffeln and don't count) it suddenly becomes a mysterious complex challenge. what we received was rather disappointing for our eyes and our taste buds. a baptismal salate was decorated with five sad looking chicken bugs that drown in oil and vinegar. we closed this place is great for its views, the service was fast and friendly, but it seemed really as if the chef of this restaurant was asked to use as little as possible to flood them in oil and consciously freeze what meat he gets his hands on.
Lunch at a hot day in the beer garden. the prices they expect for a badeplatz, a short and traditional Bavarian menu and the portion sizes were generous. eating was good, came fast, though it was busy. there were, however, zero...obvious individual measures. Despite the current regulations, without hands-anitary at the entrance, without guest contact data or app check-in, I did not see any worker wearing a mask, and laminated menus directly between customers on different tables without cleaning. when we sat down, they took away the empty glasses of the previous customer and don't even wipe the table. only cash accepted, no cards. Hopefully we don't need to consider it too much longer, but if they take care of the security of covid, I would choose another place.
If the weather is good, this beer garden is the perfect place for a drink. the restaurant inside is rustic, but welcoming. the service is friendly and prompt. However, food is average if not moderate. a little too expensive overall.
The only thing that can be given a 5 star here is the location, you can sit right on the lake and enjoy the view. The food quality and taste though was average. We ordered a chicken breast salad, Currywurst with fries and...a grill plate. The salad and Currywurst were okay, however the grill plate just did not impress us at all. Would go again for the location and only to have a beer.
