Went here for lunch on a sunny ski day with friends and was served the best Currywurst I've ever had plus an excellent service. Bravissimo! ????????????????
Since 2013 the Warth and Lech ski areas have been connected. Prices are much more favourable on the Wart side. There the Auenfelder Hütte offered fast service even when busy, pleasant surroundings, good value for money and a very good goulash
In the middle of Lech/St Anton Vorarlberg ski area, in the newly connected Warth ski area. Typical food of the region, as served in the warming hutte-s scattered across the ski area. However, Auenfelder was the warmest and friendliest one I have seen in the area. The food was well prepared, and a good variety was on offer. Unusually for the area, howevr, the prices are great - much more reasonable than other warming huts or ski-accessible eateries.
Very popular stop for visitors to the Shrocken/Warth ski area. In between two pistes so you need to schuss to reach it without skating or poleing. Had a short wait untill a space became available so was expecting something really special. I orderd the simplest of dishes (goulash soup), which any other restaurant would have steaming pans full of to dish up and serve right away, and a Gluhwein. The Gluhwien was maybe 5 minutes arriving which was OK but 20 minutes later for the soup? To make matters worse it was just about warm, not hot which is the way it should be served. I won't be visiting this Hutte again this season. There are better in the area.
