Mcdonald's - Scottish Borders

The galashiels mcdonald’s has great hot chocolate and donuts. the personal is friendly and the drive through, although it is always busy, relatiw is easy to navigate in a small car. for larger vehicles it could be more difficult to navigate the narrow road layout and the parking spaces. I wish they had a larger selection of vegetarian and vegan options. I miss having the mcchicken sandwich.

Do not visit them very often, but if I do, there is a missing article from my order. I always check the bags before I leave the parking lot. the staff are in the regular friendly and helpful when they tell them.

Clean and tidy, eat quickly delivered and hot, so no complaining for the gala outlet this is one of the best mcdonalds

ORIGINAL REVIEW AUG 2023: It was ok. Ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and it looked quite sad, and tasted like sad too. Someone else in our party got a few hairs in his medium chips. The standard McFlurry looked smaller than the mini. Service was also very slow, having to wait 15 mins for our order when it wasn't even that busy. It's ok for a cheap dinner, but it's very uninspiring. UPDATE AUGUST 2024: I came back a year later with the same group of people, and I had a hair in my burger. This is the second time in 2 years one of us has had a hair in our food from here. There's clearly a need for a cleanliness review for this franchise, as it's clearly not up to scratch.

One of the lesser McDonald 's locally. Staff are consistently diabolical and seem to come through in a revolving door of misery and despair. Once witnessed staff do a lock in 20 mins before closing time with there mates having a vape and some 'banter '. Berwick ones alot better but sadly further away. If you can be bothered drive to another McDonald 's, this one sucks most of the time just depends on the latest hirings and firings.
