We liked this place so much we went twice during our visit once for lunch and once for dinner. The restaurant has been owned by the same family since the 40's. The food is authentic Mexican and is fresh and tasty. If you go on a nice day sit at the bar area which has a retractable roof making a nice courtyard atmosphere. We've recommended Los Olivos to dozens of friends who all raved about it. We'll definitely go back.
Authentic Mexican food! Good pricing, atmosphere, music. Great place for everyone singles. Couples, groups). Had a yummy virgin margareta, Fajitas, and the lunch special tacos! Highly recommend.
This is our first time in Scottsdale, and in Arizona as a whole. We were looking for a restaurant, and was recommended by the Hotel we were staying at to try this. If you have a chance or opportunity, GET HERE! The menu and food were fantastic. I’ve been to a lot of places that claimed the best food, or had “the best tacos” but this place is literally “the best tacos”. On top of the food, they staff and atmosphere were amazing. We had gotten there a bit later in the evening (around 8pm or so) and I had asked if the kitchen was still open, hoping to get a desert for my SO’s birthday. They noted it was closed. 10 minutes later, they came out and had some flan with a candle. It completely surprised her and added the cherry on top. The history and decor of the restaurant is amazing, and listening to the history of his Grandfather and Uncle building this place over the last 60+ years (1947) and seeing how it evolved, and the rolling skylight they built, truly was great. Everything was just perfect. Thank you for an amazing first time experience at this wonderful, family owned, gem.
To have reverence is to have a deep respect for someone or something. This mural was on the side of a family restaurant in Scottsdale Arizona. One of the original founding families of the town. Eating at the venue almost felt sacred. One of the dining rooms had circle shaped blue opaque windows that glowed from the sun. Walking through the entrance you find portraits of ancestors and old black/white photos. The place was held together by respect and a deeply held tradition to good food. We ordered fajitas, chicken nachos, and fish tacos. The portions were incredible and the service prompt. Right off the main Old Town area, this venue is worth the visit!
