It was a Spanish restaurant and I was hoping for some Jamon Iberico, but it was not on the menu. However, the waiter mentioned that they had a cheese plate with Jamon. To my disappointment, the cheese turned out to be Manchego sliced from a Costco package. The Jamon Iberico was not to be found, instead we were served sliced salami and prosciutto that also seemed to be from a Costco package. The cheese was served cold straight from the fridge. I ordered the paella as my main course for $54, but unfortunately, the rice was overly salted and inedible. All the meat on the paella was dry and overcooked, except for the chicken which was the only decent part of the dish. I used to visit Spain at least once a year, but the Spanish food at this restaurant was disappointing and not worth the price. Overall, a very unsatisfactory experience.
I usually don't like giving a 1-star review, especially since the restaurant is part of my favorite hotel chain, Four Seasons. However, I was disappointed by the food and felt that it was misleading. The long wait of almost 30 minutes between our appetizers being cleared and our mains being served was unacceptable. The waitress explained that a "large party" had taken priority in the mostly empty restaurant on a Friday night at 9pm.
Talavera restaurant is located in a very beautiful opposite the scottsdale desert. we sat on the terrace (equipped with heating, if necessary) in magnificent weather with a spectacular view and, after the meal, we apparently did not want to go. the special purpose of our visit was to try chef samantha sanz' wonderful molecular de calabaza court with lamb, squash, chiles, red lenses. pecan, pepita gremolata and sage crema and more delicious ingredients. this intoxicating court for wonderful experiences made in the palate and delivered a rich and nutty mix of aromen, culminated in a balanced and smooth bouquet with a mildly slinging spicy taste. the service was impeccable. what a great and pleasant experience: we will definitely come back!
I consider myself a bit of eating, eating fine as a nut and pop shop or dipping when eating good. the food and service we received at eating in talavera was one of the best I have ever experienced! the presentation was beautiful, eating and wein were extraordinary and that view! I am back.
The evening starts with good service at the door. talavera is located on the four seasons and park visitors milos and thomas welcome them warmly. mario and gave them that their cocktails are as good as the sunsets. the manager welcomes them as an old friend does it, and accompanies them to a table suitable for an evening discussion. catherine marie discusses the wee and the menu and makes them comfortable from the beginning. you know will be divided into the Spanish. recommend to enjoy the lobster appetizer and traditional Spanish fishpaella.
