We went to Spain for our honeymoon in May so we were looking for a restaurant at home that could satisfy our cravings for our favorite Spanish foods. The fried calamari (Rabas) was a 10/10. My husband said it might've been better than in Spain !! We also ordered Gambas al Ajillo, Patatas Bravas, and the Datlies con Tocino. All were excellent! For dessert we ordered the Churros con Chocolate. They were Mexican style churros and tasty. We will most definitely be back!!
Love this place!! It was my first time going, part of date night with a couple of friends! The food was great, service was great! I just didn't feel too cool! -In the sense that the A/C wasn't hitting as nice where we were sitting and made uncomfortable, the northwest side of the building up the steps! They had great music, great drinks, and the plates were sharable! Very fun!
I went with my family to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. I am from Spain and I was very excited to found a Spanish restaurant in AZ. What a disappointment. Food doesn't taste nothing like the food in Spain. Their tapas portions are very small and expensive. The churros with chocolate are similar to the ones we eat here at the Mexican restaurants. They don't taste like the ones in Spain . Same with the chocolate. We will not return to this restaurant.
Ordering the taste of Spain is a great variety. And there is a great mint mojito. The kids had chicken fingers and fries. Their dessert was amazing, chocolate cake with condensed milk. The service is great. We were a group of 10. The flamingo dance was fun to listen to and watch.
What a disappointment. Four people ordered tapas and a paella. The paella is deceptively charged as being priced per one person portion. 10 inch price on menu. Two people 12 inch price is double, was not clear at all. I assume most people think of it like a pizza, the next size up is more but not 2x more. Bigger issue is ALL the tapas come out at once. The table is covered in plates. We can’t eat it all at once. Dishes get cold. The tuna/watermelon dish has none of the flavor described on the menu, just a large hunk of watermelon and a tiny sliver of tuna skewered into it. Totally unbalanced. The other dishes were fine or fine enough. The Fideu comes out and is covered in red and green peppers. These ingredients are not disclosed on the menu all the other paellas that have peppers mention peppers. I explicitly asked the server about peppers in another dish so he knew we had an intolerance. I would never have ordered it for two people if I knew I couldn’t eat it! He knew I couldn’t eat it! He asks if I want something else, sure, i ordered the ribs. They take 10 15 mins to come out even after the other tapas all magically appeared in minutes. And in the end, the check initially came with a full 2x price for the fideu and the ribs at full charge. Peppers are a disclosed ingredient on twenty menu items. Why not on the fideu? They list tons of detail but left that out on this. Own the mistake and make good on it! The fideu should have been no charge as well as the ribs. If everything else had been great I wouldn’t complain. You can look at my other reviews, I generally try to write positive restaurant reviews to help them out! But this was offensive, and definitely not worth it. When you make a mistake, own it. I walked away feeling taken advantage of. It 's weird that this review does not show up on Google Maps. Nobody has ever viewed these photos. Almost like the restaurant flagged it rather than admit we had such a bad night. When I originally posted it, I included my receipt, and somehow Google Maps didn 't want to show that? Anyway, this place is a dud. Go to The Ends down the street.
