The owners are welcoming and maintain a very clean environment. Previous reviews were based on experiences from before the new management took over. We recommend giving this place another chance!
Best Chicago Dog, Vienna all beef! When it comes to Chicago-style hot dogs, this is the place to go. The Vienna beef hot dogs are delicious and made from all beef, just the way you want them. They also serve great fries made from home-cut potatoes, skin-on, which adds to the flavor. I always enjoy their combo dishes, which are truly appreciated. The cleanliness inside is a huge plus! If you're looking for a high-quality, affordable lunch that’s served quickly, this is the place to be when you're in the Scottsdale Rd and Thunderbird area. The only downside is that it’s not closer to my house, which means I can’t come here as often as I’d like. Their menu features hot dogs, sausages, brats, Italian beef sandwiches, hamburgers, and chicken sandwiches, along with fries, chili fries, and cheese fries.
Wow, the hot dogs and milkshakes here are amazing! I had heard so much about this little spot, but you really need to go in and taste their food for yourself. If you're in the mood for authentic Chicago-style American fare, this is the place to be—you won’t be disappointed. No matter where you're from, you'll definitely enjoy the food!
Big Burgers Hotdogs!. My wife and I have eaten here many times over the years, and every time is so good or better than the last visit. The food is always freshly prepared and the taste is hard to beat! Immerse yourself and watch a game on Tv, or keep out for some. You'll be happy you did it!
THIS is an Italian Beef!. I was looking for something quick to eat for lunch, while driving home, down Scottsdale Rd. I saw Taste of Chicago out of the corner of my eye, and got an instant craving for an Italian Beef. I ordered the Cheesey Beef with sweet peppers, dipped (dipped in the au jus, so that the sandwich is wet... no other way to order it in my opinion, but to each his own), w/ a side of fries. I got it to go, thinking that I could wait until I got home to eat it. I should have known better. I would like to apologize to anyone who was driving southbound on the 101 between 1-1:30pm on 12/31. In my defense, there is only one excuse for driving with your knee and stuffing your face, and that excuse is a delicious sandwich. I opened the container just to take a peek at the sandwich, and I 'm pretty sure I yelled something something along the lines of, THAT 'S WHAT I 'M TALKING ABOUT! Embarrassing? Yes. But you need to know how wonderful it looked. Every bite was amazing. I 've had a lot of these sandwiches since I 've moved to AZ from Chicago, and based on the track record of italian beefs in the valley, should have stopped ordering them a while ago, but I 'm glad I didn 't! Again, I apologize to all of you happy and safe Phoenix drivers out there for the excessive swerving that happened during sandwich consumption, but this sandwich requires 2 hands... not my fault!
