The Italian Daughter - Scottsdale

The menu was packed with Italian-American favorites, ranging from chicken parm and veal to osso buco and more. We decided to start with a small Caesar salad (perfect for sharing). We then asked our friendly waiter, Jose, for his top recommendation, and he suggested the hearty lasagna, which comes with a sizable meatball. The portions were huge—one dish was more than enough for two people. Even though we were quite full, we couldn’t resist asking Jose for dessert recommendations. He highly praised the limoncello cake as the best dessert he’s encountered in his career, so we had to try it. The cake was light, tangy, and the perfect ending to our meal. We sampled a few wines, but neither the Super Tuscan nor the Sicilian red quite suited our taste, as they were a bit too young and fruity for us. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening, thanks to Jose's excellent service and the wonderful live music.

Everything was very good. There was a 10-minute wait, but other than that, everything was excellent.

Our server, Jose, was amazing! He was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic! The music by Ortiz was great too. I can't wait to go back. Thank you!

My wife and I dined in the patio area, which was pretty well heated despite chilly outdoor temperatures. I had the bolognese and my wife the halibut special. Both dishes were well prepared and tasty. We followed with the cheesecake and tiramisu, bringing some home. The service was attentive and friendly. Although a bit pricy, the meal was enjoyable. Not sure how it would have been inside the main dining area.

We love the food here and the service always excellent. It’s just so noisy, that’s our only disappointment . Call us old farts!
