Toca Madera Scottsdale

Our experience here was AMAZING. We had something happen in our bridal party, which led to us having some last minute changes to add a new reservation in a last minute pinch. Christian and Daniel, along with the front reception staff(Frida took care of us and really helped me over the phone to make this all happen), took care of my friend for her bachelorette party and were amazing. They treated us to some complimentary champagne. Christian was our server was incredible, amazing vibes. The food was awesome, the drinks were great, and our weekend really made a turn for a better because of the experience Toca Madera gave us. I would absolutely recommend this place to any of my friends, parties etc. Christian was the best server and so attentive. (Give this man a raise) thank you Toca Madera for making our night amazing. I have eaten at a lot of fine dining places all over the world and the service/experience here was top notch. I’d come back here in a heartbeat. Cannot wait to come back again in the future.

Couldn't say enough good things about this place. Waiter was so nice, attentive to our needs and perfect at his job. Everyone was very welcoming and made the experience so warm and inviting. Good quality was top notch. We both got steak and meat was super tender and juicy. Definitely would recommend and eat again. Love love love!!

Brunch ambience was wonderful, I do prefer dinner menu better because it's tastier. Overall wonderful atmosphere to be in.

Came in for our second time, to celebrate my birthday. However the end of the night tainted the whole experience. Our waitress was a god send and tried to get the other staff to understand we were still working on our dinner. To clarify, my husband and I were coming to the end of our meal and were waiting on dessert to arrive. During this time we stood up to get a better view of the fire dancer performing. As we stood up a male staffer tried to take our napkins and our waitress interfered. Informing him that we were still waiting on our dessert. However the rest of the staff proceeded to clean our table and join it to the table next to us, to accommodate a bigger party. We then came back to where our table should of been and stood confused for a minute, and our waitress again came to our rescue and let the other staff members know the situation. We finally got our dessert and had a sour taste by that point, on being practically kicked out. As the cake arrived , so did our check. As soon as my husband placed the card on the check, a staffer appeared out of thin air to grab it. We then noticed that we had staff surrounding our table just staring at us, most likely waiting for us to finish. We were annoyed at this point, my husband spoke to the person we assume was the supervisor (he was in a suit with a red tie) and let him know we were basically aware this is a restaurant and people need to be in and out, however harassing the customers wasn't the best approach to clear a table. He tried to apologize and guarantee us that he wanted us to have a good experience and offered shots. However alcohol wasn't going to make up for the fact that our waitress had informed them twice that we were still eating, or the fact that we were being surrounded by staff ready to clear our table. This all happened at 8-8:30pm. We should also add that the two parties that were next to us took about 20minutes to clear. The two girls next to us actually had their check when we arrived, and proceeded to take almost an hour just talking before paying. Both weren't harassed by staffed.

Chicken and waffles were not great! Bland! But the Breakfast Enchiladas and French toast were really good and made up for that! Nice restaurant and friendly staff!
