Contribuisci feedbackAs another reviewer mentioned, I decided to give this restaurant a try due to its high ratings - it had 4.8 stars at the time of my visit. The portion sizes were large and the service was satisfactory. My son enjoyed his chicken quesadilla, and we all enjoyed the rice and beans. However, the green sauce on the enchiladas was too spicy for my husband and me, and the overall appearance of the restaurant was quite run-down. It's definitely a hidden gem with affordable prices. I would recommend it for takeout, just be cautious of ordering anything with sauce if you don't like spicy food.
I recently dined at the best restaurant in Scranton! The price is definitely worth it as they serve generous portions. It's best to bring someone to share with because the chilaquiles are quite spicy, but absolutely delicious. The chicken and meat dishes were cooked to perfection, unlike other places where the meat tastes old. The eggs, muffin, and bagel were toasted to perfection. I will definitely try their technique at home. The Cecina in the platter was juicy and tender, and the rice was fluffy. The burrito was so stuffed that I could barely finish half, but it was delightfully fat with fresh and tasty meat. I wish I had discovered this place sooner, as I will definitely be visiting every time I come to Scranton. The service and food are unbeatable, and the owner and his family are very friendly and welcoming. You must try this place!
The tacos de lengua were incredibly generous - I could only finish two of them! My husband's chilaquiles were outstanding, even though I usually don't like red chile. They were delicious and had just the right amount of spice, so be prepared. What I really appreciated about the red chile was that it tasted homemade, with love and hard work put into it. The burrito de chorizo was huge! My son loved it, and it looked really good, but I couldn't try it myself as I don't eat pork. We also ordered sopes, but didn't take pictures because my daughter wanted them very plain - just meat, beans, and cheese. The only downside was that they used Parmesan cheese, but aside from that, all the meat in our dishes was fresh. In some places, you can tell they use old meat by the taste, but not at this restaurant! We also ordered smoothies - the milk smoothies were a bit too thick for my taste, but the one I ordered with water was very smooth. Overall, I can't wait to come back and try more of their dishes. The staff were friendly and made us feel right at home.
I walked in to get out of the rain and decided to order food. This is my third time here in the past week!
Their food blew our minds and taste-buds!!We are very picky when it comes to restaurant food because we LOVE homemade food. Their food was homely and yet so flavorful! Nothing overpowering and yet scrumptious! We had tacos de al pastor, tacos de enchiladas and sopes de picaditas con carnitas. Every single dish was amazing!Highly recommended.
