I would come back here in a heartbeat. Please don't close down!! I want to bring everyone I know here. Best dinner spot on Long Island by far. Do yourself a favor and get the duck fat frittes and the empanadas! Actually... Just get everything.
Had an incredible meal here last night in the kitchen. Great staff, great food, great vibes all around. Highly recommend.
For most of my life my all time favorite restaurant was L 'Endroit. It was located on Glen Cove Rd. in Greenvale. When anyone would ask me what is your favorite Long Island restaurant, it was a no brainer L 'Endroit. I went there for decades. It closed years ago and when that happened there was no back up, there was no second choice. Nothing could stand up to L 'Endroit. This past week I went to a Friendsgiving dinner that a friend of mine organized. 14 of her friends and most of us did not know each other. I am happy to say I have me new all time favorite Artaux located in Sea Cliff. The food, created by Chef James Muir is AMAZING incredible flavors, fresh, and delicious. The dining area of Artaux is small not tight but small there are only a few tables in the main dining room (including one common table). And there is one other table option the chef 's table in the kitchen which seats about 16. In addition to in restaurant catering Artaux has a fabulous well established catering business. I wish I could tell the details of what I had which included beef, chicken, french, fries (not just any french fries) a salad, some kind of cheese, and a dulce de leche dessert. Like I said early, ALL OF THIS WAS AMAZING. Fabulous flavors. I hope you go to Artaux and check out my new all time favorite Long Island restaurant. I know I can 't wait to get back. Congratulations and thank you Chef Muir!
Artaux fine foods was rated as excellent in the New York Times so of course I came with high expectations. To start I had the octopus carpaccio (a little too tangy tasting and thin) and the lamb. The lamb appetizer was so good I had to fight my mom to dip my lamb in more of the delicious sauce. For my main course I had the Chilean sea bass special which still makes my mouth water. It came with spaghetti squash which delicious as well. To top off this delicious meal I had two berry cocktails, which were amazing but I wish they had more alcohol in them,
Went to Artaux last night. Enjoyed the meal tremendously. The place is small, and, yes, you have to sit at a communal table but it wasn't terrible . The staff could not be complicated enough. They were professional, eager to please, and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant but definitely make reservations!
