If you walk in the door, you will be transported to the ambience of a typical Parisian dining area. They are greeted by the boss/owner woman with a huge, warm and welcoming smile. They will sit on an elegant table with fine porcelain, glassware and silver with linen napkins. The cook came to our table to welcome us, not less in French, and to us about the specials in French. He speaks English very well and doesn't want to stop what Paris was like for me. I had called the Baked Onion Soup French Onion in non-French places) my mother in the law had the Fois gras. That was the best. The soup was sour from the ground with a real bovine broth and caramelized onions, the cheese was so aromatic and tasty with exactly the right amount. The fois gras came the size of a medallion of the fillet. My mother-in-law, who has eaten Fois-Gras all over the world, has almost gone out of the jokes and the perfection of this plate, it has not offered to share and that is not like them. We went on to have the salmon speciality, devine, I had the steak with mushrooms and demi glacier, awesome and Bettie mother in law) had the Nikoise salad, perfection. We enjoyed the meal with a dancer. The wine list was well built. We made it with a house chocolate fondant mousse cake and a double espresso. We couldn't finish it and take it home for breakfast. Three of us came with 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 3 appetizers, a dessert, a cup of coffee and a bottle of wine for under $150. Go to Ma Maison!
