Bland food. Under salted. Falafel raw in the middle. Chicken tastes of char. Hummus needs flavor. At least it’s fresh and the pita is good. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Fresh baked pita are very good; As for the rest of the offerings here I can only say it has fallen prey to being acceptable to Maine’s population-blander than it needs to be. The Hummus while well-prepared, is like a picture of hummus. No real flavor of its own and needlessly unseasoned. The young lady that works the counter is charming and prompt, but her demeanor makes me thing she makes too many apologies for the food and too many excuses for the chef-owner. Someone needs to be brave enough to tell him that the food is too bland. If he gets out of his own way he’s actually got a good thing going here.
