Boss Drive-in - Seattle

I ordered fish and chips through DoorDash, and the food I received was inedible. I expected a nice, large piece of fish, but instead, I got two small pieces that were barely held together by almost raw batter. I had to tear them apart, and honestly, it was so unappetizing that I worried I might get sick. It was absolutely disgusting. Now I'm questioning the quality of the rest of my order, and I'll never eat there again.

This takeout-only drive-in in West Seattle is an excellent spot. While Dick's is a Seattle classic, I find myself choosing Boss nine times out of ten—unless I'm really in the mood for Dick's relish-tartar sauce. The burgers are both affordable and tasty; the Dub-C is a great option, and the Boss Hog is perfect when you're looking to indulge. I enjoy the corn dog bites, and my wife loves the mac and cheese bites. The crinkle-cut fries are fantastic when they're fresh; they can be a bit inconsistent, but they’re always better than Dick's. The shakes are pretty good too. I highly recommend it for locals, but it’s worth a special trip if you’re not in the neighborhood!

The food here is great for the price, and the staff is consistently friendly. The wait times may be a bit lengthy, but that seems reasonable considering the volume of orders. I recently tried the new veggie burger, which had a patty that reminded me of an Indian samosa—quite an unexpected twist! I'd definitely order it again, though I won't be too disappointed if it disappears from the menu. I'm always open to trying any new veggie burgers they introduce in the future. The black bean burger is a classic favorite as well, but I appreciate having more options.

Good food. Kills the craving for a burger. A little slow on getting orders out. Not bad if you want to try a new burger joint. You have to find seating at one of their 2 picnic tables or sit on the rock wall below.

Great service and old school style of dining. Limited outdoor seating but it 's called a Drive-in for a reason and that works for the locals
