Happy Teriyaki - Seattle

It's pretty good for the price. I have the soba myself. taste the nudge before they pick up the small container of the Teriyaki sauce. I had mine without and it still tastes good:

Update: It's ok. It used to be pretty good but now it just has as a depressing air about it. Portions are smaller, flavors are not as bright. Price is still fair, especially for downtown. Maybe I've just caught them on a bad day for the last 4 visits. Happy Teriyaki also offers curry, ramen and bibimbap. But it's their teriyaki that stands out. In fact, I'd avoid anything else. Just stick to what they do well and you'll be happy.

I’ve been going to this place for weeks, I drop in on my lunch break on just about every day and I’ve always had pleasant service until today. As per usual I will walk in and seat myself in the closest seat to the front counter, making it obvious that I’ve arrived and I’m typically greeted with quick service and my order is taken quickly. However, on this particular day, I was greeted with turned heads and almost a nagging sense that the servers and register operator is ignoring, almost making an effort to not serve me or even give me the slightest of attention, even as I seek their gaze at every moment. To warn me that they may be a bit busier than usual and will be with me soon would be a welcome alert, however upon receiving no attention whatsoever for 15 minutes a woman finally attended me claiming she thought I had take out, which I’ve never once ordered here after a month or so. She knows me and I feel betrayed by a place I was deeply enjoying. Sad to say and sad to experience.

This small restaurant efficiently manages long lines of customers and serves the best yakisoba I've found in the area. They also offer a wide variety of sauces to enhance the flavor of their dishes, although the food is delicious enough to enjoy without any additional sauce.

During my first lunch purchase from this restaurant via the Ritual app, I wasn’t kept waiting long for pickup. I ordered the prawn teriyaki, and while the portion was on the smaller side, it was still satisfying. The food was delicious, and I’m already looking forward to returning soon!
