I had the biscuit flavor today and it was amazing, the cinnamon in combination with the cookie and chocolate flavor is so beautiful! Someone else got honey lavender and that was also a super unique and delightful aroma. It may be a bit expensive, but it is worth it for me (as long as you don't get it all the time, haha).
Wow, I must say that the honey lavender flavor at this restaurant is the best I've ever tried! It was a delightful surprise that I wasn't expecting at all. The balance of the two flavors was perfect and the addition of small lavender petals was a nice touch. The cookie dough was also delicious, with a hint of cinnamon adding to its unique taste. Overall, the honey lavender flavor was so good that it's hard to imagine anything else competing with it on the menu.
Stopped by while in the area and was recommended to try the ice cream by Molly Moon's. We bought one scoop or the cookies and cream and my cousin enjoyed it!
Ice cream was marginal, at best, with minimal flavor. However, the worst part was the customer service. An employee who had a sloppily handwritten paragraph with a statement proclaiming their pronouns in place of a name tag decided that it was time for a social inclusivity lesson for our 11 year old child who inadvertently said yes sir when confirming their order (my child was also too short to see the name tag. . They huffily told my child, don 't call me sir with no eye contact while filling the order. When I apologized and quickly attempted to explain that the military has had us stationed in extremely conservative areas for my child 's whole life, the employee interrupted, rolled their eyes, and rudely told me that they don 't need my justification, but just need me to hear what they 're saying. We, as a family, are allies and have always attempted to educate our children on gender awareness and respect; but it 's a concept that is hard to practice in areas that don 't have a large population and that are extraordinarily binary and demanding of ma 'am and sir addresses. My irritation centers around the fact that an 11 year old ordering ice cream and attempting to be polite was not the time nor place to call out a completely inadvertent slight, and that respect and understanding goes two ways. It could have been an opportunity to build awareness and mutual respect for different backgrounds coming together, but instead left us with an extremely bad taste in our mouths...from both the ice cream and the employee.
I tried to visit molly moon on my last Seattle trip, but covid. at my recent visit I finally tried this local institution at its location of the university village. this small location is mostly for ordering with parking in the garage directly above the load. the load is easy with basic options for super premium ice cream and other frozen tasty. the menu is truly unique with many different flavors. my visit was quite simple and fast, but this little business is probably overcrowded at a high point summer weekend. this location is beautiful as they can go around the shopping center that eats their ice. I chose the honey lavender single club. it was served with a very generous scoop in a sugar cone. the taste was interesting. the lavender exaggerated the honey really, but it was a very refreshing option on a warm day. I don't know if I would do this again, but I'm glad I did. the child's beak is probably the best value, as premium ice cream has a premium price. the ice at the molly moon’s is worth the hype. Premium ice cream and aromas that are fine and balanced. the UV position is a beautiful combination of free parking and walkability that helps for a date or just a quick treatment before they get the children!
