Hands Down Best Italian in Seattle. For 25 years they've been consistently making fresh pasta that will win the hearts of anyone in minutes. The portions are light but full of soul. The flavors are some how bold and subtle at the same time. Beautiful options for gluten free, vegan and vegetarians. Stunning atmosphere especially if live music is happening. Events here are remebered for a lifetime.
OMG best lasagna EVER. A friend served it at her birthday party recently and I was stunned it was SO delicious- as good as my favorite lasagna in Rome I ordered a tray today for my family!
We had a reservation right at opening and when we got there they tried to seat us in literally the worst seat in the house. It seemed overly complicated to get us a better seat, even though there were like 3 groups there. We finally got a better spot but still, not the best. The ambiance is nice in the back portion of the restaurant but not so much by the bar. Aesthetically the bones of the place are great but there’s too much wood and not enough brick. The view of the courtyard at night was pretty. The wicker type chairs didn’t match the aesthetic and were uncomfortable. The service was good. I thought the food was good; the gnoccho fritto was delicious. I got the gnocchietti with red sauce, and the red sauce was done well. I wasn’t crazy about the ricotta gnocchietti but the dish of cheese served with it made it really good. The drinks were good, they have a nice selection. The young man who delivered our dessert couldn’t tell us what flavor of gelato came with it, but I think there was a language barrier. My partner had the special, a salmon on a bed of lentils which he said was good. Overall it’s a pretty nice place but it really depends on where you’re seated. I also found it irritating that they started the meal by telling us we had the table for two hours. We didn’t intend to be there that long anyways, but being told we couldn’t take our time was annoying and felt unprofessional. I might go back but I’ll still be searching for the best fresh pasta in Seattle elsewhere. I do recommend at least trying it once.
First time there was Seattle Restaurant Week. Lovely place, great food, helpful staff.
