Service was great. Food was not great. The hashbrowns looked great but were somehow very wet and mushy even the outside was not crisp. The scrambled eggs were ok. The rye toast wasn't bad, but it was somehow way too dry without quite being burnt.
While visiting Seattle, friends and I went to the cafe for a quick breakfast before hitting the road again. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting the gentleman who sat us. Such a welcoming staff, great food, causal dining, and a cozy feel.
Ample servings, good prices and friendly staff… great atmosphere.. great breakfast!!!
Queen Anne Cafe is a charming, old-fashioned diner situated on a hill. The food experience varies quite a bit. On the positive side, they serve what might be the best bacon I've ever had at a restaurant, and their huevos rancheros are quite tasty. However, the biscuits and gravy fall short; the biscuits have an unexpected sweetness, resulting in a dish that doesn't quite come together. Overall, it's a lovely place to visit, but you might need to sample a few different dishes to discover the gems.
