We stop by this restaurant whenever we are in the neighborhood. They serve good food at reasonable prices with very attentive service and kindness. It's very much a neighborhood restaurant with a warm casual feel. If you are looking for the dining equivalent of a warm hug you can't really go wrong here.
This place is an absolute treasure! It won't win a James Beard award but the food is good, drinks are amazing, it is affordable and the retro ambiance is amazing.
This restaurant and pub/bar has a traditional atmosphere with classic dishes on the menu. I ordered the cod fish and received coleslaw and salad on the side. The coleslaw was decent, but the fish was a bit soggy inside despite having a crispy batter. The salad consisted mostly of iceberg lettuce with a sweet and thick Italian dressing that was not to my liking. Overall, I would still recommend this place as it is a classic establishment, and it may just be a matter of finding the right items on the menu that suit your taste.
This place is awesome! They put a lot of care into the atmosphere and food. It’s one of the only places in Seattle with classic sides like baked potato and mashed. I had the Reuben sandwich and it was fantastic. Perfectly toasted rye with kraut, Swiss cheese, and tender slices of seasoned beef. Possibly the best Reuben ever. The food came out hot within 15 minutes, service was diligent and consistent, and I can’t understand how they turn a profit with such great prices! Overall a fabulous experience. I’m going to try the prime rib next.
