Sandwich wasn’t bad by any means, but not extraordinary either. Tried the chipotle macaroni salad. Not the picky type, but man, this is just swimming in mayo. Maybe it’s just a preference thing or maybe prep this morning was heavy handed, but I don’t think I’ve encountered a macaroni salad this uhh… wet. Place is decent, just not sure there’s much here to bring me back personally
Valhalla Sandwiches is a chain of sandwich shops with a few locations scattered around the Seattle area. They make very obscure and interesting sandwich combinations that work very well. This location is in Greenwood right up from the main corner at 85th. Parking around here is relatively easy, and they have a bunch of tables outside and inside as well. Their menu isn 't massive, but they have a lot of different tastes to try. Their portion sizes are a bit small for the price, but once again, the taste is there. For instance, I wish there was more turkey and less stuffing on the Thanksgiving sandwich, or more jam on the PB&J because it 's a bit dry, or the sweet potato tots being undercooked and way too soft. The staff is great here, very friendly and talkative. Overall a solid place and family friendly.
Always high quality and decently priced for the location. I would definitely recommend.
If you are a delivery driver and picking up from this place you could be waiting 30 minutes like me today so I suggest you drop that order before wasting your time. Good luck
Ordered the Big Tahuna and Reubenator. The Big Tahuna ingredients were good except for the bread. I was expecting a dense crusty sourdough, which would have worked well with the ingredients. Instead, it was low end Texas toast which one would hardly call sourdough . There was way too much oil on the bread which made it almost gaggingly greasy. Same on the Reubenator...way too greasy. I would skip the grilled sandwiches in the future.
