Peking City - Sebewaing

The food is excellent for the price. The service is reminiscent of Mel's Diner, but the staff is friendly and attentive. You would easily pay double for this quality in the city. The building is older and could definitely benefit from some renovations.

The Chinese food here was simply awful. It resembled Mexican cuisine reinterpreted as Chinese. I've never encountered yellow fried rice or almond chicken without the usual battered chicken. The dish looked more like chopped chicken with green peppers, reminiscent of a burrito filling. And why were there peas in everything? There was no thick gravy, either. The egg foo young patties were served without any rich sauce—again, with the peas! It's definitely not authentic Chinese food, not even remotely so. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
