Bayview Szechuan Chinese Restaurant

I went with a friend of mine to the Bayview and I couldn't believe how dirty the walls and windows of the restaurant were. The plates and silverware were at least clean which they have had problems with in the past. The food was luke warm at the buffet even at 5:30 which is close to the dinner rush.All in all it was not a pleasant experience. The owner seemed really nice, but I don't suggest people go there.

Great food and great service.... Had curried beef on rice and wonton soup. Hot and delicious. The curried beef was yummy with lots of beef and zingy curry. Usually have the buffet which is sensational with lots of yummy choices like salt & pepper prawns, squid, hot & sour soup (I add wontons) Even their sushi california rolls are good except they ran out and had to make more. Love the pork chops and the chicken and veggies are fresh and hot. Love coming here for Chinese when I visit Sechelt.

I love this place as I can never make up my mind. They have a good selection and for a reasonable price. Especially for the size of the dent I put in their buffet.

It's pretty mediocre, after having lived next to Vancouver Chinatown for 9 years, this is not really much. It's a watered down version of chinese food. Ingredients are not particularly memorable. Don't go in expecting anything fancy. And it's kind of expensive for mediocre food.
