Carnival Inn - Sedgemoor

The food at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. The madras curry was cold and tasted like something unappetizing, and the scampi and chips were haphazardly thrown onto the plate. The table was dirty and it seemed like a struggle to get it cleaned. We went there for a family meal and even the pizza was hard and inedible. I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs. Some items were missing from our order as well. I would never go back to this place.

I waited for over 15 minutes to even get noticed by the bar staff. Eventually, I was told to move up the bar for faster service. The bartender was nice, but another staff member was rude and appeared intoxicated. He yelled at me in a slurred tone, called me a liar, and suggested I go elsewhere for faster service. I calmly told him not to speak to me that way while still addressing him as sir, but he continued to be rude and disrespectful. This was the worst experience I've ever had in a pub. I will be making a complaint to management about this incident. I came for a drink and left feeling insulted. This behavior is unacceptable.

I visited this restaurant over the weekend for some drinks and a light meal before heading out for more drinks. The food was delicious and the restaurant was clean. I would definitely like to come back in the future.

We were in Bridgwater for the day and chose to have lunch at the Carnival Inn. This turned out to be one of the best Wetherspoons ever! Our cod and chips were absolutely perfect, the cod in large, moist flakes in perfect batter! We noticed the tables were cleared and wiped down quickly, plus the toilets were clean! Highly recommended!

Shockingly bad. All the tables not occupied had plates piled on them, but worse than that it’s dirty. You have to wipe your feet when you leave. The most unhygienic pub I’ve ever been in. Make sure your vaccines are up to date before visiting. Somersets dirtiest pub.
