1st time ever coming and don't know if we'll be back. The porter house was good, the mountain oysters were okay (the cocktail sauce was like jelly) got served the wrong drink, had to wait for refills multiple times but the kicker was the nachos. We told the waitress the chips were stale so she went back to the kitchen and brought out another plate of plain chips for us to scrape the toppings of the stale ones. When we looked at her funny, she took the plate of nachos we had back to the kitchen and brought out a plate with a small amount of the toppings for the nachos and told us we could dip the chips in it. When we finally got the bill we expected that she would have discounted the nachos a little but she did not. We didn’t want to say anything else because we ordered them and we ate a few but just left us a little disappointed. Don't think the food and experience was worth the drive.
I would 100% recommend hoof and horn. I ordered the hand-battered shrimp with their fries. The service was great, we got our food quickly and with no mistakes. This place is great!
Cool place. Lots of decorations. Has that small town restaurant vibe. Steak was good and one of the best ranch dressings I 've ever had. Would definitely recommend if your going through but maybe not worth a complete road trip dedicated to it. Parking: Not very many spots along the street but since there isn 't many people it 's not too bad.
Great food when finally served! Had I great hard working server that did her best to care for 30 folks. Should have had more help for her. Some occasionally appeared- but she was a champ to do the job! J G.
