Costa Coffee Express Southport - Sefton

I don't understand why this restaurant has such a low rating. We received excellent service and had a delicious light lunch. We also took advantage of a great offer through their app (their cakes are fantastic). We will definitely be returning.

I visited this location just before the lockdown and was very disappointed with the cleanliness and hygiene standards. The tables were dirty and the staff did not seem to prioritize cleaning during my brief visit. They were focused on serving coffee and food for profit without considering basic hygiene practices, including necessary Covid cleaning and disinfecting. The floor was littered with trash that customers were kicking around. This is not a good representation of a food and drink establishment. Additionally, I did not receive a receipt and was denied the toilet code by a staff member. When I finally used the bathroom, I was disgusted by how dirty it was. This establishment has the potential to be a Covid transmission hotspot due to its lack of hygiene measures. Management should be ashamed of the conditions at this Costa outlet.

Coffee and food are good and cant say anything bad about the service but the toilets are the worst I have ever seen. You can actually smell the urine outside the toilet so it's not a recent hygiene issue. Never again.

Once a day my brother visits costa he is paralises and uses an electric wheelchair , after a day of passing and shoving and getting ignored in most places he finds solace peace and tranquility respect and has his beloved cup of coffee , it...was half term and costa was packed but Chris the manager cleared the table he got served without being pushed or made to feel invisible and enjoyed his coffee , the staff are all wonderful they show respect and all have a caring manner , thank you with best regards peter xx

Ok so the sign on the door states... a warm welcome to all and a sign of a dog.. so we went in with our frenchies to be told dogs are not allowed. after being spoken to like **** I suggested he take a...look at the sign as he said it's guide dogs only... no mate it clearly states dogs welcome... guts visit Cafe Nero they happily welcome dogs.. costa I suggest you train your staff!
