The Arches Coffee Lounge - Selby

I used to be a regular customer at the coffee lounge until today. However, I was disappointed to see that the manager's nails were fake and overgrown with dirt behind them. Additionally, her comments on social media about her customers being fake, wrinkly, and pasty were not very nice. Because of this negative experience, I will not be returning to this establishment.

I ordered an English breakfast and was extremely disappointed. It was excessively greasy with broken egg yolks, appearing as a complete mess. To make matters worse, I was charged £2.85 for a can of Coke. When I questioned the price, I was given a refund and told it was due to the sugar tax. I found this explanation to be unfounded and ridiculous.

Amazing quality value. We popped in for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday the place was full but the service was super quick, once we had placed our order. We had the steak pie it was absolutely gorgeous, with real suet pastry the beef dripping gravy was to die for. I don't know how you do it for the price? A huge huge well done to all the team, we will be back.

I ordered the Quiche, but what I received was more like a creme brulee with tomatoes in it. It was truly terrible, but I felt too awkward to complain. I was hungry, so I ended up eating a quarter of it before I realized how bad it tasted. The chips and salad were mediocre at best. I didn't feel like making my own at home, so I guess they were passable. On a different day, I probably would have said something about the food.

Called for early lunch ,the place was busy, a good sign l suppose. After finding a seat we ordered food . Pie,chips and veg. Tasty but the pie crust was hard baked . The place itself was quite cold. I guess money saving comes to mind. Will no doubt call again I'm sure.
