Over all the experience was a solid ok I think people go to experience the history of the old building.
This is a gem in Strasbourg. It is also in an excellent location. The food was exceptional and the staff was great. I will recommend this to friends and family.
Selestat, this town located in the department of the bas-Rhin, is a nice city to discover! This day, it was in the heart of the old town that we decided to have lunch and, more precisely, at 39 rue des knights, at the Allied hostel! We settle while admiring this interior nestled in a 16th century building! The time of an aperitif, we choose our menu! The kir to the cream of alsace, with strawberry syrup and water liqueur is accompanied by leaflets to the tapenade. When we enter, we fear for this consummate!Marc found! As he loves veal kidneys, he doesn't hesitate for a second! The kidneys are cooked in the way of the seagulls and are served with homemade späetzles! For me, I prefer the suggestion of the day, an aloyal bath cooked with black pinot! All desserts are served with an ice ball!I who am very chocolate, I choose a melt!Marc prefers a tatin pie!A little cream to finish our past...and we are ready to go!
I love this restaurant and for several reasons. First I am a fan of the winstub frame and its wonderful parquet floor. The atmosphere that reigns there is resting and one feels a soul. the welcome, whether it's waitress or boss, is kind and smiling. The dishes are hearty, delicious and mixed by the boss herself. If you still have room for dessert I especially recommend the baba to the home rum that is top. You have to take advantage of it because it is too rarely found on the menu of restaurants and it is a shame. If you are in the area make a little crochet and stop in this charming hostel, you will not be disappointed.
