Kodawari Menya Udon Tempura - Semantan

I find this place interesting as there is wide variety of tempuras to choose from. Really authentic udon and very amzing taste. I strongly recommend this place.

Good quality fast food place love their udon! It's inexpensive, and it's the typical self service counter just like the ones in Japan. The cold udon is one of my favourite!

Besides Marugame, Kodawari Menya is another Japan-based udon and tempura restaurant that offers tasty noodles at affordable prices. As of now, Kodawari Menya can only be found at 1 Mont Kiara shopping mall, right opposite another great Japanese noodle restaurant – Menya Kamikaze. Self-service is practiced here so get a tray, queue up, place your order and pay at the cashier. Next to the check out counter is an array of tempura of seafood, vegetable and meat – just pick whichever you fancy. When they first started I think there aren’t as many Udon choices on the menu. But I guess they still have to cater to customers’ needs and now you can even find Tom Yam Udon and a couple of rice dishes as well.

A lot of people may not know this place exist, but 1 Mont Kiara has a very nice place for Udon. Although the selection is just a few, but the udon taste so good, you may want to eat only the same selection again.<br/ <br/ You can mix and match the sides that you want. In terms of price, they are affordable. Unless you decide to be adventurous and go crazy with the sides.<br/ <br/ It's my usual location if I want to carb load.
