Contribuisci feedbackD’Cengkih in TTDI is SO GOOD. And quite expensive for nasi campur. But SO GOOD. I don’t know anybody who doesn’t love D’Cengkih. We don’t go there often because parking is a nightmare. Otherwise we’d probably eat here once a week.
Definitely one of my favourite place to have a nice, malay lunch! Their lunch selection is amazing all their lauk are delicious! They're a bit on the pricey side but its definitely worth a try! (Love the sambal petai
If you do drop by, trying the kuih is a must! Their kuihs are fragrant and has just the right texture. A personal favorite is the kuih bakar pandan :
Food is excellent, its home cooked Johorean meal. Be it for breakfast or lunch. My fav, is the fried rice for breakfast. Exactly as mom used to do it. Also should try the banana pancake (lempeng pisang). Best i've tasted so far. Their local desserts selection is great as well.. Hmmm well the down side.... Their price is on the high side. Be prepared to pay upwards of rm30 for a meal for 2. A plate of white rice with 2 dishes is easily more then rm10.. You've been warned..
I always come here for lunch. They are known for their Asam Pedas dish. This dish even made it on Food War Asia!<br/ <br/ The Asam Pedas is slightly different from the rest as they add salted vegetable which is also known as 'hum choy '. You can taste the freshness of the fish as well as the ingredients used. I can taste Sambal Belacan as well. Might be a good thing to know for those who are allergic to shrimp.<br/ <br/ Overall, a nice place to enjoy authentic malay food. Parking can be a hassle. Just park at the first available spot and walk over to the place.
