$17.61 for a rib basket. Three small ribs, very small serving of cole slaw, sweet tea to drink. Order at the counter, serve yourself drink fountain then bus your own table. Too pricey for this senior. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
I came here with a group of about 40 people on a church mission trip in the area. We like to go out for a barbecue night while we are in town, and Hog's is absolutely one of the best if not the best barbecue joint I've been to on one of these trips. We called ahead and they were nice enough to block off about half the restaurant for us to ensure our group could sit together. We dud try to eat early so as to not interfere with a dinner rush. I had the 3 meat platter with brisket, ribs, and the jalapeño sausage, with a loaded baked potato and fried okra for a side, and it was delicious. I was also able to sample the turkey, pulled pork and fried catfish, which was also fantastic. The sauce on the tables was really good as well. The staff was friendly, helpful, and diligent in getting our large party taken care of. Overall, I had a great experience and I hope to hit Hog's again when I'm passing through Seminole. An additional note, they do have a sign stating that they use peanut oil for their fried foods. I have a peanut allergy and so does my wife, who was on the trip with me. We did not have any allergies issues with the food, as peanut oil used for frying is refined peanut oil and lacks the protein that acts as an allergen. Dietary restrictions: The fried foods are fried in refined peanut oil, which is processed to remove the protein in raw peanuts that serves as an allergen, so peanut sensitive people should be fine. Parking: Lots of parking available in the shopping center
Brisket was moist but was very bland not seasoned at all. BBQ sauce was very vinegary and it spilled in my Togo container so it made the ff and okra taste bad. For $20 I was very unhappy Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
