The restaurant is easy to find just off the main road not too far from a big mosque. From the outside it looks like any normal restaurant with small covered outdoor tables which is by the roadside separated by a drain and also indoor tables. There is a small carpark nearby as well. The decoration is pleasant with some tables converted from old sewing machines. Lighting is cozy and warm. It offers western and fusion food on its menu. Was recommended the grilled chicken with spicy cream sauce. Presentation was decent and the taste was a unique blend of bird's eye chili cooked in salty creamy tumeric sauce. Becareful of the chillies as they are well camouflaged in the sauce and one can be explosively surprised if they are bitten into. There is a large projector TV for entertainment showing local shows. Staff are friendly and tidy. The worst thing is the swarm of insects. I'm not sure whether it occurs throughout the year because when I went there it was the raining season which caused swarms of insects to just fly from everywhere and I was bitten by them.
Serving since April 2008, it was previously known as Mai Cafe Herbal Western Kopitiam. I have visited for like 3 times, during daytime and when after sunset. Try to drop by around 8pm which is the perfect moment in my opinion, as the beautiful decorative lights will light up your mood, reflected by the old school style wood floor and furnitures. The lip smacking food will also arrived faster around this moment; like 5 minutes for our ordered chicken chops, and grilled chickens, or their mouth watering mushroom soups. While savouring the meal, our desserts came followed shortly the banana split with coleslaws and more! Furthermore, there are Malaysian Favour menu too; like Nasi Goreng (any common country name order) like Nasi Goreng USA, Kampung, and teh tarik drink. To avoid mosquitoes problem, visit this restaurant/cafe during the right time like not in rainy season or with good care of the body . Oh and lastly, the price here is really reasonable, and can be quite economic.
Visited 11 May 2015 , this is a nice cozy joint . Parking is ample outside the Café . Please note that this is operated by a Malay and halal food is served here . I was here at 8 pm for dinner and found a table and I think they have enough tables to go round even during weekends . Fast service from the waiters . Ordered a Grilled Chicken at RM 13.00 , Ice Kacang Regular at RM 7.50 and Lekor Fish Fingers at RM 3.00 . The first food was fast to serve , 5 minutes . All that I ordered tasted great , fresh and juicy . I liked the Grilled Chicken as it was somewhat refreshing that they had green leafy vegetables and their Black Pepper sauce which was not too spicy but just right ! The Ice Kacang was a Volcano with a lot of Ice Shavings , milk which tasted fresh and a full bowl of ingredients which I think that what you pay is what you get ! The Lekor Fish Fingers being a finger food to start off came just off the wok and you can feel the heat locked in . Overall I would give this place a double thumbs up ! The bill came up to RM 25.45 total Please beware though wear long sleeves and long pants here as the Mosquitoes are ever so willing to give you more that a bite !
Food taste fresh and nice especially the grilled chicken and the mushroom soup. cozy place with reasonable price. but i can't stand the mosquito
